Mercer Island

Mercer Island is a city in King County, in the Seattle Metropolitan Area, located on an island of the same name in the southern portion of Lake Washington. Just over five miles long and two miles wide, Mercer Island is a true island community consisting of high quality residential areas, preserved parks and open space, as well as miles of developed shoreline. Luxurious waterfront homes reside here with a small portion of the island belonging to businesses. The Island has its own sense of identity, distinct from its neighbors, Seattle to the West and Bellevue to the East. Mercer Island has been widely recognized as one of the premier residential communities in the State of Washington. The Island is connected to the mainland on either side via bridges carrying Interstate 90.
